How should the spray gun be maintained in the automatic spraying machine?

1. First of all, maintenance crews need to frequently check the needle valve, air valve, and gasket seals for leaks. If leak is found, it should be replaced in time. Furthermore, remember to  apply lubricate oil on the sealing gasket regularly to make it soft and easy to slip.

2. The thread of the air cap of the spray gun, the spray paint volume adjustment knob, and the valve adjustment knob should be oiled frequently to ensure flexible movement, and the spring of the air cap and valve part should also be coated with lubricating oil to prevent corrosion and facilitate sliding.

3. The spray gun should be disassembled prudently. When it is necessary to disassemble, please be noted that no residual paint is stuck to each rectangular part, and the air hood and nozzle cannot be damaged should be handled carefully. 

4. Perform a comprehensive inspection of the spray gun before use to ensure that the spray gun is in good condition before it can be used. 

5. When the operation is suspended, the gun head of the spray gun should be immersed in the solvent to prevent the paint film from drying out and blocking the nozzle; but the entire spray gun should not be immersed in the solvent to avoid damage to the sealing gaskets of each part, causing air leakage and paint leakage.

7. The spray gun should be cleaned in time after use, otherwise, it will block the spraying tunnel. After cleaning connect the paint tube and compressed air tube for test, adjust the fan surface of the spray gun, and operate the fan angle of the spray gun by hand: 70-80 degrees. If there is any problem, it needs to be repaired in time.

Some spray equipment manufacturers have begun to use automatic spray gun cleaning machines, which are better than manual spray gun cleaning. 

Put the coating equipment into a large bucket of spray gun cleaning and reuse machinery, cover the bucket lid, turn on the pneumatic pump to rotate and clean the cleaning liquid in the bucket. 

All parts can be cleaned in less than a minute. Compared with the traditional manual cleaning method, the automatic cleaning fluid can save 10 minutes of operation time for changing the paint. This cleaner can effectively ensure the safety of the painter.

Note: If the spray gun is not cleaned in time after use, the nozzle will be partially or completely clogged, which will cause the spray from the spray gun to cut or spray incorrectly. The same is true for porcelain paint with additives. Because if it is not cleaned in time after use, the enamel paint will harden inside the spray gun.
